Connec+ipedia (or Connectipedia) is just plain cool. It’s is an editable resource centered around Oregon (and SW Washington) non-profits & foundations, of which there currently 14,000 and counting. This is a great project, and I think it’s high time someone got around to jump starting such an endeavor. The site is a home-grown Oregon project run on Wagn, a wiki-like open source software developed by the folks at Grass Commons in Eugene. Considering that the Oregonian did a piece on them (in addition to all the blog buzz), I figured it was time to welcome them in to WikiProject Oregon with a Wikipedia article of their own. Below is the article as it looked at 1:22:29 UTC. It’s just a stub (for now), so please feel free to take a stab at expanding it!

Great! I’ve often thought about something like this. A bit like WiserEarth but in a wiki.
Is there any reason to restrict it to Oregon? Anything to stop it being used globally? (Note that there’s nothing to suggest to the casual browser that it’s Oregon-only until they dig.)
“Request an Invitation”? Not very open – There are other solutions to fighting spam, if that’s your concern, which still make it easier and more inviting to contribute. My reaction to seeing this need for a request is “Should I bother? I don’t even know if they’ll approve me – they might not be actively maintaining things, or might be fully about who they approve.”

@Chriswaterguy,
My understanding is that it’s in no way “restricted” to Oregon, but that Meyer Memorial Trust is focusing their advocacy on the areas they fund — Oregon and southwest Washington. If others want to come along and add non-Oregon content, I think that’s perfectly welcome.
